Lego Mindstorms NXT experiments: fast speed remote controlled car and onboard camera

In the last video, I showed how to control your mindstorms with bluetooth. This way you can make any crazy remote controlled ‘thing’ you want.
I decided to make a basic car, with tracks as it is easier to manipulate:
motor1 + motor2 @ full speed = forward and backwards
motor1 or 2 at full speed and motor 1 or 2 at half speed = turning

This was a great success, so I replaced the tracks with wheels and added steering.
Motor 1 + motor 2 = drive
Motor 3 = steering.

I highered the gears (little gear on driveshaft and big gear on motor) in order to make the car as fast as possible.

It is very nervous and has a great acceleration, as you can see in the funny onboard cam view.

The next thing is adding suspension to the car, but I will have to redesign the whole chassis as the wheels will be able to move. Now, the chassis is a kind of big block.

See you next time :-)
