I created for a couple of posts on my website a countdown timer, to provide more usefull information to my readers.
I received a comment last week of someone asking me how I did it. Well here’s a howto:
- Download and activate this wordpress plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-countdown-timer/
- Create your post and add the timer (like in the printscreen below)
Normally, it’s a wordpress plugin, so I guess it only works with wordpress.
But when I look at the code, maybe I have a clue.
Put this in your header:
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’sct_css_countdown-css’ href=’LINK/jquery.countdown.min.css?ver=3.2.1′ type=’text/css’ media=’all’ /> <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’LINK/jquery.countdown.min.js?ver=3.2.1′></script>
And in your page:
<div dir=”ltr”>[sct date="10/10/2011 10:00" align="center" size="1"]</div>
But you can still embed my page with an iframe.

I put it in the post with this line of code:
[sct date="<strong>10/5/2011 8:40</strong>" align="<strong>none</strong>" size="<strong>1</strong>"]
text in bold can be changed ofcourse
